Tina Phillips, partner with TrustPoint Management Group-Sandler Training, discusses "Listening – a misunderstood skill".
You may have heard this statement from a parent or teach while growing up: “God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason.” If you did then it usually meant you weren’t listening. In today’s world, where there is so much that can distract us and hinder true communication, being a great listener is a skill set that can set you apart.
Come join us for this short and informative talk on how to improve your listening skills by understanding the three barriers to listening and learning three easy techniques you can apply to be a better listener today.

Aggie Roundtable offers an opportunity for Texas A&M former students to network and share leads on potential prospects/clients. The Roundtable began in the Fall of 1993; and through the guidance of its early directors, has blossomed into untold amounts of revenue for companies led by Aggies.
This group serves two primary missions:
1. Facilitate business networking among Aggies;
2. Help those Ags in transition find new jobs.
Bring plenty of business cards, brochures, and other literature to display on the table at the front of the meeting area designated for that purpose. You will receive the opportunity to tell the group who you are, what you do, and what an ideal client for you might be. Our mission is to facilitate business networking and to help those Ags in transition. So don’t be shy about telling other Aggies how you can help their business, or be helped.
Optional donations of $5.00 per person, per meeting are kindly accepted and greatly appreciated - with net proceeds helping to fund Dallas A&M Club scholarships for selected students from the area who will be attending Texas A&M University.
